SIIA Conference Press Policy
Purpose: The Self-Insurance Institute of America (SIIA) is committed to providing a private and focused environment for our conference attendees, including members, partners, and industry professionals. To protect the confidentiality and integrity of our discussions and to foster open and constructive dialogue, we have established a policy regarding press participation at our conferences.
Policy Statement: Effective immediately, no press, media representatives, or journalists will be permitted to attend or cover any SIIA conferences, meetings, or related events. This policy is designed to ensure that all attendees can engage in discussions and share insights without concerns about public exposure, reporting, or external dissemination of sensitive or proprietary information.
Scope: This policy applies to all SIIA-sponsored conferences, workshops, seminars, networking events, and other similar gatherings.
Exceptions: In rare circumstances, and upon prior approval from SIIA’s Executive Leadership, press or media representatives may be invited to cover specific events. In such cases, appropriate restrictions, confidentiality agreements, and oversight will be applied to ensure that sensitive content is not disclosed.
Enforcement: Any media representatives found in violation of this policy will be asked to leave the conference premises immediately. Repeated violations may result in the barring of the individual or their organization from attending future SIIA events.
We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all our attendees in maintaining the professional and confidential nature of our conferences.
